A 20-year-old Centralia man is being held in the Marion County Jail for alleged burglary and on two Clinton County misdemeanor warrants. Centralia Police arrested Aaron Gilbert for entering a trailer in the 1400 block of South Pine and taking a number of items. Police report Gilbert's mother bought some of the items and returned them to the owner. Other items were reportedly sold to a second hand shop. A 14-year-old juvenile boy is also being sought in connection with the burglary. A 35-year-old Centralia man remains in custody for alleged reckless driving and aggravated fleeing or eluding police. Marion County Sheriff's Deputies say Donald Declue of South Wabash was traveling at 98 miles per hour on the Walnut Hill Road when he met a deputy responding to a call. The deputy turned around and attempted to stop Declue, but he allegedly cut through a yard and into a grass field. Declue later turned himself in at the Wamac Police Department. 28-year-old Robert Goodnight of South Main in Sandoval is being held on a Vermillion County felony warrant and for driving on a revoked license. 23-year-old Timothy Smith of East Olive in Salem posted 150-dollars bond and was released after being arrested by Salem Police on a charge of driving on a revoked license. 35-year-old Susan Marie Higgins of Wisconsin Street in Sandoval posted 150-dollars bond and was released after being arrested by Sandoval Police for driving on a suspended license. A 62-year-old Benton woman, Sherry Grutzius, was released on her own recognizance after being arrested on a Franklin County DUI warrant. Salem Police have two motor vehicle burglaries under investigation. Marie Pollard reported her car was entered in the 300 block of East Blair and a digital camera was stolen. Anthony Rinehart of the 200 block of South Pruyn reported his wife's purse stolen from their car. It was later located intact down the road.
