The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Friday that portions of Interstate-57 in Marion County would have lane closures beginning Monday, March 5th.
The northbound and southbound lanes of I-57 from a mile south of U.S. Highway 50 to the Fayette County Line, and from Illinois Route 161 to the Jefferson County line would be restricted during daytime hours only. The lane closures will begin on Monday, March 5th and last through Friday, March 9th, weather permitting.
IDOT reports the lane closures are necessary for geotechnical investigations for proposed pavement resurfacing. - http://goo.gl/DZNxx
