Odin Man Charged with Hit and Run Accident in Centralia

A 27-year-old Odin man has been formally charged in Marion County Court in connection with a hit and run accident in Centralia late Monday night. Shane Lux of Spruce Street is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Bond was set at $20,000.
Centralia Police say Lux was westbound on McCord Street just west of Woods Lane when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a culvert at the entrance to MidAm, went airborne, and traveled an additional 46 feet before striking a utility pole.
The impact caused the pole to break in two pieces and spun the Lux vehicle around at a 180 angle. Lux was taken into custody early Tuesday morning. He was not injured in the crash.  http://goo.gl/YKBLB
