Both Salem and Centralia Police made arrests in drug cases on Sunday. A 30-year-old Centralia man who allegedly made three earlier sales of heroin to a Centralia Police confidential source has been arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. Dustin Cody of South Pine was taken into custody at his home. Salem Police arrested a 32-year-old Salem man on a possession of controlled substance charge and on an outstanding Marion County warrant after investigating a driving complaint. Police report they stopped Samuel Bass of Tulsa Avenue outside his car because they knew he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. They allegedly found 1.3-grams of heroin hidden inside a cigarette package in his possession along with drug paraphernalia. The warrant was for failure to appear on a possession of controlled substance charge. Bond on the warrant was set at $25,000.
